Happy Holidays!

 

The holiday season is a special time of the year, and Linda and I are proud to host the 31st Annual Christmas at the Capitol.  The theme for 2011 is “Starlit Wonderland”.

This year’s celebration will highlight nearly 100 trees decorated by businesses, nonprofit organizations, communities, and government offices throughout the state.

The South Dakota tree in the rotunda is a 35 foot blue spruce donated by Justin and Melissa Flottmeyer of Pierre.  Justin is currently deployed in Afghanistan.

We invite you to visit the Capitol in Pierre and enjoy this beautiful display.  Linda and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a safe and joyous holiday season.
