Flags across South Dakota have been at half-staff for most of the last two weeks. Following the violence perpetrated in Dallas, France and Baton Rouge, President Obama issued three consecutive proclamations calling for the lowering of the flag.

Governor Names Scott Stern As GOED Commissioner

Gov. Dennis Daugaard announced today that he will appoint Scott G. Stern as Commissioner of the Governor’s Office of Economic Development. Stern will begin on Sept. 1, 2016.
