South Dakota State Historical Society Holiday Open House

- 12 pm to 4:30 pm
- In addition to the entertainment, the event features holiday treats, living-history demonstrations and free admission to the museum, featuring the new exhibit “Play Ball! The National Pastime in South Dakota.” Laurie Ingalls Wilder’s “Pioneer Girl: The Annotated Autobiography,” the newly-released book from the South Dakota Historical Society Press, will be available. People can shop for unique gifts in the Heritage Store. And Santa Claus will be on hand!
People are encouraged to bring canned goods as a free-will donation for the Pierre Food Pantry and dropping them off as they enter the building.

Cultural Heritage Center Museum
- November 28 through December 23
- The Cultural Heritage Center Museum is open with holiday hours from 9am to 6:30pm Monday through Saturday and 1pm to 4:30 pm on Sunday. The Cultural Heritage Center is closed Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.
- The Heritage Store at the Capitol is open from 10am to 6pm Monday through Saturday and 1pm to 4:30pm Sunday during Christmas at the Capitol.
16th Annual Pie Day
- Pie Day is Saturday, December 13, 2014 from 11am to 3pm on the first floor of the State Capitol.
